About Us

Hello, my name is Kelli, and I want to welcome you to Elle J. Boutique!  I opened the boutique in 2020 as Austin + Park, an online-only women's clothing boutique, with one of my best friends.  We have experienced a lot of changes over the years!  We opened two vendor booths inside a Painted Tree in Ballwin, MO (a suburb of St. Louis) in 2021.  In 2022, my business partner decided to go back to her first love (teaching), and then my husband became my business partner again (more on that later).  In 2024, we will expand to a new Painted Tree location in Maplewood, MO (also a suburb of St. Louis).  With all of the changes to the business, we decided it was time to rebrand!

The name change to Elle J. Boutique better represents the brand we have become.  Through all of the changes over the past few years, we have evolved into a family-owned business, so I thought it was important to have a name that encompasses family.  Growing up, I had two biological grandmothers and a step-grandmother.  All three were very strong, devoted family women, and all of their names began with an E.  My biological grandmother's names were Ella and Eleanor, hence the name Elle. To honor their memory, and represent my connection to these women, I added the J from my middle name, Jo, so the company name Elle J. Boutique was born.  

 A little about myself: I have a marketing management degree, and I worked in retail marketing for 8 years.  I was a stay-at-home mom for a few years, and then my husband, Brian, and I opened an architecture firm in 2010.  Idea Architects is the name of our firm, and we are located in Webster Groves, MO.  For years, he drew pretty pictures, and I handled the firm's finances.  Slowly, we have grown, and we now have other people helping with the financial part of the business, so for the most part, he stays in the architecture world, and I stay in the fashion world, but it is nice to have someone there to help out with the business when needed.  We have three amazing boys and two crazy yellow labs, and we adore all of them!
